History
1988
Rio Tinto is founded by the Garavilla
family and Carlos Morera,
current CEO of the company.
1994
We become producers with our own production, developing Integrated Production, with the ISO
9002 certificate.
2000
We start betting on organic production, in
response to the demand from countries such as
the UK and Denmark.
2005
After launching our first insectary in 2000, we apply pheromones as a pest control technique for citrus in collaboration with the University of Valencia, being pioneers in the employment of this organic farming technique.
2014
We consolidate our commitment to organic production, becoming the Spanish leader in organic citrus exports.
2017
We join Citri&Co, a group of leading
fresh fruit specialists.
2018
We dedicate our entire packhouse exclusively to organic produce, with a capacity of 20,000 kg / h of oranges and 12,000 kg / of clementines and tangerines
